DELAYED +1yr (Apr 2026): NASH Maritime and other 2022 material suggested Shelmalere’s main planning/development consent application would follow a MAC application expected in early 2023, implying planning in the mid‑2020s. However, by April 2026 there is no record of a Shelmalere planning application lodged with An Bord Pleanála/MARA; EIAR remains at scoping (2022) and external cumulative‑effects matrices still list the project as ‘Pre‑application’. Given the MAC process duration for Phase 2 projects and the lack of a published EIAR or planning file, a realistic window for consent submission shifts into around 2030, later than the developer’s aspirational 2030 operational target. DELAYED +9yr (Apr 2026): Project brochures and a NASH Maritime note expected the main planning / development consent application around 2021–2024. By April 2026 there is still no Shelmalere planning application on An Bord Pleanála, and MAC has not yet been applied for, so I push the projected planning submission out to 2029. --- The 2023 Shelmalere project brochure shows a milestone of "Development Permission Application Submitted" in 2021, indicating that submission of the main planning/development consent application for the Shelmalere Offshore Wind Farm, including its offshore export cables, landfall works and onshore substation, was programmed for that year.
