DELAYED +1yr (Apr 2026): No public evidence by April 2026 that a Maritime Area Consent (MAC) or equivalent major permit application specific to the Shelmalere Offshore Wind Farm export cable has been submitted, despite NASH Maritime stating in late 2022 that the MAC application was expected in early 2023. EIAR scoping (2022) and subsequent documents show the project still in pre‑application stages, with MAC and planning yet to be secured. Given this slippage versus earlier expectations and Ireland’s Phase 2 offshore permitting queue, I push the next significant permit submission milestone to around 2028, allowing time for MAC award and detailed design of the export route. DELAYED +7yr (Apr 2026): Earlier material via NASH Maritime (Nov 2022) expected the Shelmalere Maritime Area Consent (MAC) application in early 2023, already later than our 2021 projection. As of April 2026 there is still no MARA or developer record that a MAC has been applied for, so I move the projected submission to late 2027 as a more realistic estimate. --- Project timelines indicate that a Maritime Area Consent (MAC) application was scheduled for submission in 2021 for the Shelmalere Offshore Wind Farm, a key regulatory consent covering occupation of the offshore area including the turbine array and offshore export cable corridor.
