RWE, in partnership with Commercial Rib Charters (CRC), has designed and built a world-first amphibious crew transfer vessel, CRC Walrus, to provide access to turbines at the Scroby Sands offshore wind farm that have become stranded due to rising sandbanks. The fully seaworthy, land-drivable vessel offers an innovative shallow-water access solution for these first-generation offshore wind assets affected by highly dynamic seabed conditions.
