Hrvatska elektroprivreda (HEP) planned that by the end of 2020 the newly laid 35 kV, approximately 12 km long Podgora–Pogorila submarine cable would be interpolated into the existing 10 kV distribution network and begin supplying the future Bogomolje substation, improving voltage and reliability of power in eastern Hvar. At the time of reporting, the cable had already been laid, and land purchase and project documentation for the Bogomolje substation were underway, with around HRK 17 million invested in the cable and a further HRK 15 million planned for the substation.
