Phase B/Step II of the Cyclades interconnection, which includes the 7.6 km, 150 kV three‑phase AC XLPE‑insulated submarine cable between Paros and Naxos (nominal capacity 140 MVA) and the 40 km Naxos–Mykonos link, is described as being estimated for completion by 2022, at which point this infrastructure is expected to enter operation and allow decommissioning of older local generating units on the islands.
