On 21 November 2014, the European Commission approved state aid measure SA.35695 for the Greek TSO ADMIE to finance the Cyclades interconnection system linking the autonomous power systems of Syros, Paros, Naxos and Mykonos to the mainland grid, a project with total investment costs of about EUR 400 million whose Phase B includes the 150 kV, 140 MVA submarine cable connection between Paros and Naxos and from Naxos to Mykonos.
