In 2020 the 150 kV submarine cable interconnection between Paros and Naxos, including underground sections at each end and forming part of the Cyclades Interconnection Phase B, was fully installed and the project was completed, enabling the integration of Naxos into the Greek high-voltage transmission system. The link consists of a three-core 150 kV AC submarine cable with a nominal capacity of 140 MVA and associated works at the Paros and Naxos substations.
