Alpha Offshore Service A/S was awarded a maintenance contract by NoordzeeWind, the joint venture of Nuon and Shell, to carry out blade repairs on the Offshore Windfarm Egmond aan Zee (OWEZ). The scope covers independent repair of around 80 Vestas V90 3 MW turbine blades, including potential tip replacement, laminate repairs, lightning damage remediation, and leading edge protection upgrades, using rope access and sky climber methods, with work planned over the summer of 2018.
