On 20 June 2019, WaterProof Marine Consultancy & Services and Bureau Waardenburg carried out offshore EMF inspection measurements across the three operational OWEZ export cables (A, B and C) between KP 4 and KP 5, sailing two transects per cable to record electromagnetic field strengths just above the buried HVAC cables for a Dutch North Sea pilot study.
Between 2015 and 2018 the OWEZ operator conducted repeated cable burial and seabed profile surveys along at least export cable C, generating depth-of-burial datasets (seabed and top-of-cable profiles up to about KP15 from shore to the offshore high-voltage station) that were later used in the 2020 EMF pilot study analysis.
