Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. was awarded by 50Hertz an export cable installation contract for the Ostwind 2 offshore grid connection, valued at more than EUR 250 million and comprising the design and installation of about 270 km of 220 kV export cable to link the Arcadis Ost 1 and Baltic Eagle offshore wind farms with the Lubmin onshore substation in Germany, including UXO, geotechnical and geophysical surveys (via Gardline), seabed preparation, pre‑lay runs, transport, cable laying, and seabed reinstatement, with execution to start in 2019 and planned completion in late 2022.
