As part of its Ostwind 2 contract with 50Hertz, NKT scheduled the start of production in 2020 for approximately 270 km of 220 kV offshore and 8 km of 220 kV onshore high‑voltage AC XLPE export cables, to be manufactured at its high‑voltage plants in Karlskrona, Sweden, and Cologne, Germany, enabling more flexible deliveries for the grid connection of Arcadis Ost 1 and Baltic Eagle to Lubmin.
