In 2021, 50Hertz stated that installation of the third and final Ostwind 2 cable system, already in production, would begin in 2022, completing the three planned 220 kV AC submarine cable systems linking the Arcadis Ost 1 and Baltic Eagle offshore wind farms to the German extra-high-voltage grid at Lubmin.
