With approvals in place for the entire Ostwind 1 route, 50Hertz planned to commence construction works in summer 2015 on the offshore elements of the project, including the roughly 90 km of subsea cable routes in the German Baltic Sea to connect the Wikinger and Arkona wind farms to the Lubmin substation.
