In 2021, onshore construction began on a new 300/132 kV transformer station and approximately 1.3 km of 132 kV underground cable works at Kollsnes, built by Skanska for Equinor as part of the Troll Vest electrification project to supply power from shore to the Troll B and C platforms and Oseberg Sør and Oseberg Feltsenter, delivering significant CO2 and NOx emission reductions.
