Onshore Construction Start

DELAYED +1yr (Apr 2026): Energinet's project description for the 132 kV ORH-SPA cable connection (Orehoved–Vordingborg Nord–Haslev Øst–Spanager) indicates onshore construction would start around April 2025, but there is no subsequent evidence from Energinet, authorities or local news that land cable trenching or station civil works actually began by April 2026. At the same time, Energinet's LUP24 geographic project list places idriftsættelse of the wider 132 kV Lolland og Sydsjælland fase 3+4 project (including ORH–VONØ) in 2027, which implies that onshore construction still needs to begin soon but has some schedule margin. Given the absence of any reported construction start and the typical sequence of procurement (late 2024) followed by mobilisation, I push expected onshore construction start back by roughly 18 months to Q3 2026, while keeping it compatible with the 2027 commissioning target. --- According to the project timetable for the new 132 kV cable connection between Spanager (SPA), Vordingborg Nord (VONØ) and Orehoved (ORH), onshore construction works are planned to start in April 2025. This marks the commencement of the civil and installation works needed to establish the line, including the ORH–VONØ section.
