DELAYED +1yr (Apr 2026): The ORH-VONØ offshore cable installation was originally planned to start in 2026 under an Energinet Eltransmission contract with JD Contractor A/S, with works "expected in 2026" and completion by summer 2027. However, there is no official evidence from Energinet, Danish authorities or JD Contractor that marine construction actually began by early 2026, and Energinet's LUP24 geographic project list only specifies a 2027 idriftsættelse year for the wider 132 kV Lolland og Sydsjælland fase 3+4 package including Vordingborg Nord–Orehoved. Given that the associated onshore ORH-SPA land cable and substation works are now slipping later than the original April 2025 start window, it is unlikely that offshore installation could realistically have started in January 2026. I therefore push expected offshore cable installation start roughly one year, into Q2 2027, while still keeping it compatible with a late‑2028 commissioning trajectory. --- Offshore construction for the ORH-VONØ interconnector is planned to start in 2026 under a contract awarded by Energinet Eltransmission to JD Contractor A/S, covering load out from a Danish port, transportation, laying and protection of two 7 km submarine cables across the Storstrømmen strait.
