DELAYED +11mo (Apr 2026): No evidence that the renewed 400 kV Øresund cable system and related onshore connections at Skibstrupgård and Kristinelund have been commissioned by early 2026. The Danish SGAV §25 permit for Øresund System 2 states that Energinet expects the total project to run from January–December 2026, and Kystdirektoratet’s January 2026 decision includes an Energinet schedule where land works run through mid‑2026 and the interconnector is expected to be put into operation in December 2026. The original projection of 1 Jan 2026 commissioning is therefore unrealistic; onshore substation commissioning is adjusted to align with the December 2026 in‑service timeframe. --- Energinet plans to commission and put into operation the renewed 400 kV Øresund cable system, including the onshore connections at Skibstrupgård high-voltage station in Denmark and Kristinelund transformer station in Sweden, by the end of 2026, following onshore cable works, substation works, and installation of new submarine cables across Øresund. Project documentation and subsequent updates indicate commissioning targeted for November 2026 and more generally by the end of 2026, at which point the new system will enter service and the old cables will be removed.
