On 19 April 2011, Svenska kraftnät opened two written public consultations under Chapter 6, Section 4 of Sweden’s Environmental Code for the NordBalt interconnector. One consultation concerned planned water operations at the station area on the property Rismåla 2:61 in Nybro municipality, linked to construction of the new switchyard and converter station. The second consultation was a supplement to an earlier consultation and covered water operations associated with the land‑cable section of the planned NordBalt connection. Stakeholders were invited to submit written comments on the proposed activities and their potential environmental impacts.
