Description

Svenska kraftnät opened a formal public consultation process for the planned NordBalt electricity interconnection between Sweden and Lithuania by inviting the public to a series of consultation meetings (samrådsmöten). In a notice dated 15 February 2010, the promoter announced that members of the public were welcome to attend these meetings to receive information and provide views on the proposed HVDC link. The first consultation meeting was scheduled to take place in Ljungbyholm on Thursday, 18 February. This marked the start of structured stakeholder engagement on the NordBalt route and project design in Sweden.
