Offshore Site Preparation

Offshore site preparation for the NordBalt subsea cable route was completed in March 2015, when JD-Contractor A/S finalized the third and final Pre-lay Grapnel Run campaign along the route towards the Swedish landfall. Two earlier campaigns, conducted in April and June 2014 under subcontract to ABB, had cleared the seabed ahead of installing the first cable sections in Lithuanian waters, together ensuring the route was prepared for subsequent cable laying across the Baltic Sea.
