In 2010, Svenska Kraftnät’s Board of Directors took a formal investment decision for the NordBalt project, approving an investment of SEK 2.6 billion to build the 700 MW HVDC link from Sweden to Klaipeda in Lithuania, thereby enabling the project to proceed into implementation.
