TenneT awarded NKT a supply and installation contract for 525 kV HVDC cable systems covering several of its 2 GW offshore grid connection projects, including the Nederwiek 3 connection in the Netherlands. Under this multi-year agreement, NKT will realise the export cable systems for Nederwiek 3, as well as Doordewind 1 and Doordewind 2, as part of TenneT’s wider 2 GW programme to deliver multiple high-capacity offshore grid links by 2031.
