Description
Oceanteam was awarded a rental contract by DEME to supply, mobilise and operate a cable-lay tensioner spread and associated control system to support installation of power and fibre-optic export cables for the IJmuiden Ver Alpha and Nederwiek 1 grid connection programme. The scope included multiple track tensioners and bow cable engines, hydraulic power and electrical control units, centralised control consoles, data logging and remote monitoring. The spread was to be mobilised on DEME’s barges for simultaneous lay-and-bury operations in the Veerse Meer (Zeeland), with Oceanteam operators working 24/7 alongside DEME’s team.
