Description
DEME was awarded a contract by Prysmian to perform engineering and installation works for the IJmuiden Ver Alpha and Nederwiek 1 offshore grid systems. For the Nederwiek 1 export cable works described, DEME’s scope included engineering and installation of 525 kV HVDC cable system sections offshore and in the inland lake Veerse Meer, as well as associated landfall and marine infrastructure works such as beach works, cofferdam structures at the cable landing locations, and rock placement and pre-sweeping support works.
