The ASG-Nordsee bypass is a BSH cable-routing decision (December 2025) that re-routed several offshore HVDC corridors around the formally designated Allgemeines Schifffahrtsgebiet (ASG) general shipping area in the German North Sea EEZ — adding route length and triggering §17d Abs 2 S 7 EnWG completion-date amendments of ~1-3 quarters across the affected grid systems.
