By the end of IMDC’s assignment in 2016, the seabed geophysical surveys for the Modular Offshore Grid (MOG) in the Belgian North Sea had been completed. Acting as marine consultant to Elia, IMDC defined the scope of work and technical specifications for the seabed surveys, assisted in selecting the survey contractor, managed and followed up the survey campaigns, and interpreted the factual survey data reports to inform the design basis of the Offshore Switchyard (OSY) foundation and submarine cables.
