On 17 April 2017, Belgian transmission system operator Elia announced that it was planning to invest EUR 400 million in the creation of the Modular Offshore Grid (MOG) in the North Sea, confirming the planned capital commitment for developing the offshore grid hub that will connect multiple Belgian offshore wind farms to the onshore network.
