The offshore cable installation campaign for Middelgrunden started around late September 2000, when sea cables between the turbines and the export grid connection began to be laid, including two 3.5 km 30 kV submarine cables from the central turbine to the Amager power plant and inter-array cables between turbines supplied and installed by NKT Cables.
