Metsähallitus states that for the offshore wind projects it is tendering in Finland’s territorial waters off the west coast, including the Kristiinankaupunki (Area 7) site, power generation is expected to begin no earlier than the early 2030s after a 5–7 year permitting phase and a further 2–3 years of construction.
