Description
Benestad supplied a 66 kV wet-mate connection system for Aker Solutions’ Subsea Collector pilot at the Marine Energy Test Centre (METCentre) offshore wind test area near Karmøy, Norway. The wet-mate connectors formed part of the subsea power distribution system intended to enable the METCentre expansion (five additional floating turbine berths) by allowing multiple turbines to connect electrically via a subsea hub in a star configuration.
