Description
Aker Solutions signed a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract with the Marine Energy Test Centre (METCentre) to pilot its Subsea Collector subsea power distribution system at the METCentre offshore wind test area off Karmøy, Norway. The pilot was selected to enable the METCentre expansion to seven floating wind turbines from 2026 (two existing plus five additional berths). Aker Solutions’ scope included FEED for the subsea collector-based power infrastructure and provision of the static 66 kV export cable to shore.
