By December 2007, when the Lillgrund offshore wind power plant began operating, the 130 kV export connection to E.ON’s Bunkeflo onshore substation—including the new 130 kV bay, 2 km of onshore 130 kV cable, and 7 km of offshore 130 kV cable—had been commissioned, enabling continuous power export to the Swedish grid.
