Siemens, as main contractor for the Lillgrund wind farm’s electrical system, subcontracted the cable supply and installation package to ABB High Voltage Cables in Karlskrona. ABB was thereby selected to manufacture and supply the 130 kV three‑core subsea export cable between the offshore substation and shore, the three single‑phase 130 kV onshore land cables to E.ON’s Bunkeflo substation, and the 33 kV inter‑array sea cables forming the internal grid.
