Friedrich Vorwerk Group SE, together with its subsidiary Bohlen & Doyen, was contracted by cable manufacturer Nexans to realise the onshore underground cable connection for the LanWin4 offshore grid connection project. The scope covered the entire onshore section of around 45 km from the landfall on the Lower Saxony coast to the future converter station in Wilhelmshaven. The company stated that onshore cable laying was planned to start from 2026, with commissioning of the overall system scheduled for 2031.
