Nautilus Srl reports that it was engaged to execute the laying of a new 132 kV subsea power cable system in the Venice lagoon for Terna Rete Italia, commissioned by Prysmian Powerlink, including the section connecting Sacca Serenella to Cavallino Treporti in the northern lagoon and a second section between Fusina and Sacca Fisola. Under this contract Nautilus installed a bundled set of three single‑core HVAC power cables and one fibre‑optic telecommunications cable along a total route of 15.7 km (62.8 km of cables), using controlled HDD pull‑ins, simultaneous submarine trenching with "Green Trenching" equipment, and implementing signalling and complementary works, with the marine laying phase lasting four months.
