Seløy Undervannsservice AS (Helgeland-based marine services SME) was awarded the combined supply and installation prime contract for the Kvina-Lovund 36 kV submarine power cable on 28 February 2019 by Nordlandsnett AS, contract value NOK 64.3 million (approximately EUR 6.5 million). Scope covered ~41 km of 36 kV submarine cable production and delivery, plus loading, transport, laying and seabed protection between Kvina landfall area (Rødøy municipality) and Lovund island (Lurøy municipality, Nordland county). The procurement used EU utilities directive negotiated procedure with prior call for competition; award criteria 75 percent price + 25 percent installation quality. Categories include cable_manufacture as prime — note however that Seløy is a marine services contractor not a cable OEM; the actual cable manufacturer (likely NKT, Nexans or Prysmian) was almost certainly subcontracted but is not disclosed in the Norwegian public procurement record. This role represents Seløy's prime contractor scope as recorded; a separate cable_manufacture role for the true OEM should be added if the supplier identity becomes publicly available.
