Description
Energinet.dk awarded Royal SMIT a contract within a DKK 250 million package of technical components for the Kriegers Flak grid connection to supply a phase‑shifter transformer. The Royal SMIT unit will be installed at a Danish onshore substation associated with the Kriegers Flak Combined Grid Solution and will control power flows between interconnected transmission circuits. This specialised transformer enhances operational flexibility and stability of the AC grid as the offshore Kriegers Flak network and the DE–DK interconnector are brought into service.
