Svenska kraftnät and Energinet plan to start construction of the new Konti‑Skan Connect HVDC interconnector between Lindome in southwest Sweden and Vester Hassing in Jutland, Denmark in 2030. This construction phase will replace the ageing Konti‑Skan 1 and 2 links with a new 1,000 MW HVDC connection to maintain reliable power transmission between bidding zones SE3 and DK1.
