Kontek‑2 (listed as project DKE‑DE), a 600 MW HVDC subsea interconnector between Denmark‑East and Germany promoted by 50Hertz and Energinet.dk, was included as a future project candidate in ENTSO‑E’s TYNDP 2016 process via the Baltic Sea Regional Investment Plan.
