ENTSO-E’s Baltic Sea Regional Investment Plan identifies Kontek‑2 (project DKE‑DE), a 600 MW HVDC subsea interconnector between Denmark‑East and Germany, as a TYNDP 2016 future project candidate with an expected commissioning year of 2030, intended to further integrate electricity markets and renewable generation in both countries.
