KBH05 HVAC cable system between Amager Power Plant (AMV), Glentegård (GLN) substation and new Oceankaj (OCE) substation, 132 kV, total route length 22.9 km including approximately 12 km subsea and 11 km onshore.
Energinet Eltransmission A/S contracted J.A. Rederiet for the "KBH05 – Protection of Submarine Cables" works package associated with the KBH05 cable systems near Copenhagen. The contract covers protection of two submarine cables in shallow waters down to about 20 metres depth along approximately 11.5 km of route. J.A. Rederiet is responsible for investigating potential unexploded ordnance (UXO) and objects of archaeological interest along and near the routes, excavating seabed trenches around 1.2–1.3 metres deep for cable protection and in selected areas for future activities, installing protective measures where the new cables cross existing cables or pipes, and re-establishing the seabed by backfilling or adding material after cable laying. The contract, valued at about DKK 98.46 million, was concluded on 18 June 2024.
