A July 7, 2021 sediment permit from the City of Copenhagen (MBL §27, stk. 2) authorizes Energinet to establish the new KBH02 subsea cable between Svanemøllebugten and Margretheholm and to remove the old HK1234 cable, describing cable burial methods and an expected installation duration of about 10 weeks. A December 8, 2022 Danish expropriation commission protocol for KBH02 further states that Energinet has in 2020/21 established a 12.4 km 132 kV cable connection between Svanemølle Koblingsstation and Amagerværket, consisting of about 10 km of submarine cable plus short land sections. Together these documents confirm that offshore cable installation works occurred during 2021, even though the exact start date is not published.
