As part of the 2012–2013 installation campaign for the 48 MW Kårehamn offshore wind farm, Jan De Nul prepared the seabed at each turbine location in the Baltic Sea by dredging about 0.5 metres of seabed to remove boulders, installing and levelling a gravel bed, and later adding a quarrystone anti-scour layer to create stable positions for the gravity-based foundations.
