Subsea section of the 150 kV HVAC export interconnection between the Kafireas II wind farm on Evia and the Lavrion 150 kV substation, around 69–70 km of three-core submarine cable with associated protection.
Asso.subsea Ltd partnered with Hellenic Cables in a joint venture awarded by Terna Energy SA to construct the 150 kV Kafireas Interconnection between the 330 MW Kafireas II wind farm on Evia and the Lavrion 150 kV substation on mainland Greece. Within this turnkey export cable contract, Asso.subsea provided offshore construction services focused on subsea cable laying and protection for the three-core 150 kV submarine cables along the Evia–mainland route. Its scope included marine installation and protection of approximately 70 km of HVAC submarine power cable during the construction phase, ensuring the export link was safely installed and ready for energisation.
