Description
Veidekke acted as a sub-supplier to Aibel on the Johan Sverdrup land-based power supply project, which underpins both phase 1 and phase 2 electrification. Under this subcontract, Veidekke performed the construction site work at Haugsneset, including preparation of the converter station area, access roads and associated civil works. The overall EPC scope executed by Aibel also comprised trenching and laying of two sets of 300 kV AC cables from Kårstø to Haugsneset, meaning Veidekke’s civil works supported the installation of these onshore transmission cables that feed the HVDC converter station used for Johan Sverdrup phase 2 power-from-shore.
