Veidekke ASA is a Norwegian allmennaksjeselskap listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange that operates as one of Scandinavia’s largest contractors and property developers. Founded in 1936 and headquartered in Oslo, it focuses on construction, civil engineering and infrastructure, road maintenance, and the production of asphalt and aggregates across Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. The group is organised into Construction Norway, Infrastructure Norway, Construction Sweden, Infrastructure Sweden, and Denmark/Hoffmann, supported by specialist subsidiaries such as Veidekke Industri for asphalt and aggregates. In 2025 Veidekke generated revenues of around NOK 43 billion, with roughly 8,000 employees, about half of whom are shareholders in the company. Veidekke delivers a broad portfolio of building and infrastructure projects, including residential developments, commercial and public buildings such as schools, healthcare facilities, cultural and office buildings, hotels and shopping centres, as well as roads, railways, power production facilities, airports, and industrial plants. The company develops housing and commercial property for its own account and for public and private clients, and undertakes large rehabilitation contracts such as the upgrading of OBOS’s former head office in Oslo and the conversion of SKF’s former central warehouse into a LEED Gold‑certified head office in Gothenburg. It also maintains public roads throughout Norway under long‑term operating contracts and is a major asphalt producer and road-maintenance provider. Strategically, Veidekke targets disciplined, profitable growth in the Scandinavian construction markets, with a strong order backlog and a focus on infrastructure, energy and rehabilitation. The group links its financing to sustainability performance and has adopted Science Based Targets, committing to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045 and a 50.4% reduction in Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by 2030, alongside a zero‑injury vision supported by group‑wide HSE initiatives.
