Description
Stantec Consulting was appointed by TenneT as part of an HVDC engineering support team to support the EPCI contractors delivering the 2 GW bipolar HVDC converter stations for Dutch offshore grid connections including IJmuiden Ver Gamma. The assignment framework covered HVDC system studies and performance work (including harmonic studies and testing support) and primary plant engineering for HVDC/AC equipment (AIS/GIS), as well as support during installation and commissioning (onshore or offshore), with Stantec set as a backup/second-backup supplier depending on lot.
