Hatch Küttner was contracted by TenneT within an HVDC engineering support framework to assist the EPCI contractors delivering the 2 GW bipolar HVDC converter stations for Dutch offshore grid connections including IJmuiden Ver Gamma. The framework scope included HVDC system studies and performance/testing support (e.g., harmonic studies and RTDS-related factory performance testing support) and primary plant engineering for HVDC/AC equipment (AIS/GIS), plus support during installation and commissioning (onshore or offshore), with Hatch positioned as backup/second-backup depending on lot.
