In 2024, contractor NRG began installation of high-voltage onshore cables for TenneT's IJmuiden Ver Beta offshore wind grid connection along the Maasvlakte Boulevard and North Sea Boulevard in the Rotterdam port area. The onshore cable installation was completed by 24 December 2025.
