The Feb 2026 Maasvlakte update also states subsea export cable installation only from 2027 with offshore works through 2030, so the link cannot be ready for first power in 2028. Adjusting first_power to mid‑2030, consistent with a 2030 commissioning year. --- According to TenneT’s 2023 schedule for IJmuiden Ver Beta, the first energisation of the 2 GW HVDC grid connection—marking initial power flow on the DC system between the offshore converter platform and the onshore grid at Maasvlakte—is planned for 1 December 2028, ahead of subsequent commissioning milestones in 2029.
